Aussie Web 2.0 Industry Takes a Step Forward with Photon Launching Silicon Valley Offices

(PRWEB) July 24, 2007 -- Following on from Photon's restructure announced earlier this week, Photon is continuing its local and international expansion with the launch of the Internet Development Property Group (IPDG), its new Web 2.0 internet incubator.

"After acquiring a number of great Internet companies over the past year, it became clear we had to capitalize on the amazing creativity and opportunity in this rapidly growing space. We formed IPDG to harness the collective intelligence in the Photon Group Internet division, and take Australian Web 2.0 innovations to the world," said Tim Hughes, Chairman of Photon Group.

Siimon Reynolds has been appointed as chairman of IPDG, Colin Fabig is heading up internet product development, and Ari Klinger has taken up the position of CEO. Ari Klinger will be heading up the Silicon Valley offices and building out the US team.

IPDG have a number of products currently in the pipeline. The first product to be rolled out will be Wookah (www.Wookah.com.au). Wookah is a multisearch service that helps you find, search, compare and share the best sites on the internet. Wookah is currently in Alpha phase, and is looking to launch in beta in Q4 this year.
